فكرة العمل تدور حول ياسمين الفتاة اليتيمة التي تعيش مع جدها المتسلط حتى النهاية
تحب ياسمين شابًّا من نفس الحي اسمه مهنا، لكن الجد يرفض مطلقا بسبب أن الشاب
لا يناسبهم وتتزوج ياسمين من رجل يكبرها بسنوات كثيرة، ولكن تتبدل أحوال زوجها
وتمر الحياة بياسمين رتيبة وكئيبة لا يخفف عنها سوى وجود ابنها الذي تتعلق به
وتفني نفسها من أجل إسعاده.
